Business computing is the study of computer technology in an economic context. It integrates aspects of computing with subjects such as accounting marketing, business strategy and information systems, allowing people to use technology to accomplish organizational goals.

You will also develop the additional skills employers are looking for in IT professionals. They include leadership, teamwork management of projects, as well as problem-solving. The degree provides you with the foundation for software development, programming, web design and databases as well as information systems. You can also choose to specialize in data analytics advanced computer science or marketing.

The course will give you an understanding of Windows and its application software, which includes Word 2002 for Windows word processing spreadsheets databases management systems, graphic presentation software, and the Internet. In addition it will instruct you about e-commerce security and computer security issues.

Most of the time, seminars and lectures are used for teaching, with many courses incorporating computer-based laboratory exercises. You’ll also be expected to pursue independent research and study, both at home and at the university.
